Keira Jonkers (KEI) is a dynamic and passionate musician bringing a wealth of experience and, a unique perspective to her role as a music tutor. Starting her musical journey at the age of four, inspired by her father who plays drums and guitar, Keira developed a deep love for music early on. Encouraged by inspiring teachers, she began singing and songwriting at the age of ten and has since explored various instruments and genres, including pop, rock, jazz, and folk.
As a solo performing artist, KEI has played numerous gigs across New Zealand and gained national recognition through her appearance on the TV show Popstars. Her bold sound and introspective lyrics have captivated audiences, leading to sold-out headlining shows and performances at major events like the Go Live Festival and NYE in Hagley Park. KEI has shared stages with notable artists, enhancing her reputation in the local music scene.
In addition to her performance career, Keira has been instrumental in helping bands and individual musicians develop their skills. Her empathetic and adaptive teaching style ensures that each student receives personalized instruction tailored to their unique needs and goals.
