Lesson Pathways.
Every student learns at a different pace, so our Introductory, Development, and Specialised pathways help place each student in the right environment for their age, experience, confidence, and goals.
This means younger or newer students can build strong foundations without pressure, while more experienced students receive the challenge, structure, and support they need to keep growing.
It also keeps lessons fair and purposeful for families, while allowing our tutors to match their preparation and teaching approach to each student’s needs.
Introductory Lessons
Introductory Lessons are designed for younger students and newer learners, specifically students in Year 6 and under who are in the early stages of learning an instrument.
These lessons focus on enjoyment, confidence, basic technique, rhythm, pitch, lesson routine, simple songs, and building a positive relationship with music.
Students may remain in the Introductory pathway for up to one year per instrument before moving into the Development pathway. Some students may move earlier if they are ready.
